Prose
edit- Batmönkhiin Achbadrakh and Enkhtuul Ariunsanaa are both wikilinked a few times. Only their first mentions in the lead and body of the article need to be wikilinked.
- In the infobox, unlink Batmönkhiin Achbadrakh in Flag bearer (closing).
- "the nation had sent two cross-country skiers, which were" – change to "who were"
- "The delegation's best finish in any event was 65th by" – I would include 65th of 95 here for added context to readers.
- Unlink the second mentions of opening ceremony and closing ceremony in Background.
- Could Cross-country skiing be expanded upon at all? For instance, possibly how they were selected?
- I would remove the first table (with the athletes) as unnecessary.
Done except for "Could Cross-country skiing be expanded upon at all". I think it's fine and doesn't need expansion as the information is consistent with Mongolia at the 2018 Winter Olympics, 2010, and 2006, which are all GA.
- Ah, I see!
Refs
editAll sources used are RS. Passes spotcheck—no concerns with refs 1, 5, 8, 10, 13 or 17.
- Find better publication names for the refs with urls (like www.olympics.com/).
- I would remove the location parameter from ref 2 as this is the only such ciation.
Done I think, although I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Find better publication names"?
- Using names instead of URLs, like www.olympics.com > olympics.com or www.fis-ski.com > International Ski Federation etc.
- I see what you mean, I'll go do that, do you want me to wikilink them as well?
- That is up to the article writer, but you have already wikilinked the refs for the International Olympic Committee, The Independent and Olympic Council of Asia so I would say yes. Also just noticed ref 10 is formatted "International Olympic Committee (IOC)". Using or not using the abbreviation are both acceptable but make them all consistent :)
Done I think I fixed all the refs.

Overall: @MasterMatt12: Good article but I don't really think that these hooks are interesting. Considering the size of the article, i'm not even sure if this article even has a potential hook. Onegreatjoke (talk) 18:10, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Onegreatjoke: I think it's pretty funny that those were the only Mongolian competitors sent to the entire Olympics that year. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 01:06, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah but I don't that's really special you know? Onegreatjoke (talk) 22:31, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Onegreatjoke: Well, I'll defer to you, of course; but if I read a hook like that, my question would be "why didn't Mongolia send anyone else? And why cross-country, of all things?" That is to say, maybe it's not particularly impressive, but I would want to know more. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 10:01, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
- Pinging MasterMatt12 to see if another viable hook can be found; if not, it's probably best that the nomination be closed. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 10:19, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

- The nominator is on Wikibreak and noted in the edit summary of his most recent edit that he is currently not motivated to contribute to Wikipedia. As such, unless another editor adopts this nomination, it doesn't seem like there is a path forward for this anymore. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 09:50, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
