Pennsylvania template
editI'm uncertain whether it's appropriate to include the {{Pennsylvania}} template for a borough not listed as one of the major cities. I went ahead and added it... feel free to remove if it's improper. Mayosolo 03:21, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
Not President Monroe
editMonroeville was named for Joel Monroe, a famrer who sold off many plots of his land in this area. See [1]. -- Mikeblas 23:43, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
City template and information added
editI added the city template, despite Monroeville not being a city. I thought it made searching for the information easier to find.
I also added the elevation, mayor, time zone, incorporation date, as well as images of the borough's seal and flag.
PGH assessment
editGave assessment. Pittsburgh neighborhoods are generally "mid" in importance. PadreNuestro 04:01, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Establishment date
editThe reference for the establishment date of Monroeville can be found here. [2] Dincher 20:06, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Problem is, the article still makes no reference of it and doesn't, itself, cite that reference. As such, it's premature to add the article to the category. It would be great if you could add information about the establishment to the article, reference it, and then add the category. -- Mikeblas 01:27, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Home rule community
editWhat is a home rule community? Jɪmp 08:49, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- this link looks like it has info on it. I don't see a reference that says Monroeville is a home rule community in the first place, tho. -- Mikeblas (talk) 19:09, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
References and ExpoMart
editI've added some of the requested references. I've also removed a couple, which don't meet WP:REF. I noticed the ExpoMart is mentioned in the education section, and it isn't an educational facility. -- Mikeblas (talk) 19:09, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
Geographic Location
editI've removed this template, as it's complete garbage--the locations listed are completely arbitrary. If it is to be re-added, we should decide on criteria, and then the list of towns meeting that criteria, before replacing it. -- Mikeblas (talk) 00:13, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

ExpoMart name Change
editThe ExpoMart changed its name to the Monroeville Convention Center in 2009. Website: http://www.monroevilleconventioncenter.com/us/index.php Press Article: http://triblive.com//x/pittsburghtrib/business/s_643522.html#axzz3XOkAqolJ
ExpoMart Vs. Convention Center
editThe linked article does NOT state that the ExpoMart became the Monroeville Convention Center. It states the Convention Center REPLACED the NEARBY Expo Mart. The ExpoMart is now a office of CVS Caremark. The Monroeville convention Center was formerly a Wickes Furniture store. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.65.237.209 (talk) 20:24, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
