editI've included multiple sources, and even the tag says "Note that educational institutions are not eligible under this criterion". ----Another Believer (Talk) 14:42, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because notability is established under WP:NBUILDING via two awards from the American Institute of Architects, plus multiple Historylink articles contribute to GNG. --☆ Bri (talk) 15:35, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- You mean those two essays which state "This essay made possible by: Seattle Public Library Foundation"? No, these don't contribute to GNG at all, and these were the only sources at the time of nomination. Fram (talk) 15:53, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Fram:, do you know SPL Foundation is an independent corporation, not part of the city government? I don't see why it's absolutely not a GNG worthy source. ☆ Bri (talk) 17:30, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- Because an organisation intended solely to support the Seattle public libraries, is not an independent source as required by GNG (it is perfectly acceptable as a source for information, it just doesn't give any notability to the subject). Fram (talk) 07:30, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

- @Bri Thanks! I've added several additional sources to the article and below, based on a simple Google search. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:05, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
