In fact, most recent news stories about the team I have seen are all about the name change. In any case, the MLS team should still be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC/WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT of "Montreal Impact" for now as a Google search currently shows.[1] Zzyzx11 (talk) 07:04, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

I agree this is the primary topic still, I was going through the articles that link to Montreal Impact and about 25-30% are actually supposed to be going to the original team. I've been going through and disambiguating them all to either Montreal Impact (1992–2011) or Montreal Impact (2012–2020). I had made it a disambiguation page so I could see all the links that went there, but I realize now that I can still see the list while it's a re-direct (I also didn't realize how long it would take to go through and fix that list of links). Montreal Impact (disambiguation) → Montreal Impact – Team changed name over a year ago. There are two notable iterations of the team under this name. The current CF Montreal and the former Montreal Impact (1992–2011).
