mood

- In the analysis of literature, mood (a.k.a. atmosphere) is one of several fundamental aspects of the writing. The others are mainly point of view (POV or viewpoint), setting, tone, writing style, and the writer's voice (not to be confused with grammatical voice or character's voice). I don't recall being taught about these aspects in high school, but they are probably important in a university for a literature major. As for "useful," they are useful for anyone studying and analyzing literature.—Anita5192 (talk) 20:45, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
