edit- The series has not been broadcasted in Russia.
- The Hemulen`s aunt raises Moomin Papa in the Orphanage in the books. But in this series it`s acctually a Fillijonk who raises him, I know this because I have seen the episodes where Moomin Papa tells the story of his childhood. But before I alter this in the articl, I wonderd if anybody nows if she was Mrs Fillijonk`s aunt?Daninewton (talk) 17:34, 26 March 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.54.40.24 (talk) 16:43, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Tove Jansson's personal statement "This is not The Moomins"
editThis needs a citation. There are too many uncited "quotes" - unless a credible cource can be found, I propose deleting that sentence from the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.15.23.246 (talk) 18:28, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Moofam.gif
editImage:Moofam.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Moomin1969.jpg
editThe image Image:Moomin1969.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Merger proposal
editDelightful Moomin Family: Adventure Diary is basically the second season of this series, I see no reason for a separate article. It could be easily merged here. Cavarrone (talk) 06:41, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Voice actor corrections (English)
editI've made some corrections to the English voice cast listed on the main page, and have provided some information to back up these changes:
Sniff - originally the article listed Peter Woodward as the English voice actor for this character. This appears to be based off the series' IMDb page, where Peter Woodward is listed for providing the character's uncredited voice. However, IMDb is 100% incorrect about Peter Woodward being the voice actor, as he had absolutely no involvement with this series. The actual voice actor for Sniff is one of the credited actors listed in the end credits, Jeff Harding, who also provides the English voice for the Inspector. This can be confirmed through several ways - not only is it audibly the same actor voicing both Sniff and the Inspector upon close inspection (the voices are obviously made to sound different, but the vocal inflections/line deliveries for both characters are the same, and there are a couple of times where the other voice slips through if that makes sense, which give away them both being voiced by the same actor), but Jeff Harding used the exact same voice for Sniff for the villain in the British dub of Peter No-Tail in Americat, just with a meaner-sounding delivery (the character first speaks at the 2:40 mark, but skip to 7:30-7:42 for probably the best comparison between this character's voice and Sniff's), and also used a variation of the voice in a baseball advert that can be heard on one of his demo reels (play 'Commercial', skip to 1:22) as well as in the English dub of an episode of The Twins of Destiny (the character first appears at the 6:05 mark, but skip to the scenes at 17:42 and 21:24 for when the voice becomes noticeably similar - just as further proof, note he also supplied the voice of one of the main characters in the series, as shown here at the 5:07 and 13:06 marks - you'll be able to hear it's the same actor). The IMDb page for this series is somewhat unreliable in parts with the English voice actors, not just because it incorrectly lists Peter Woodward for doing a voice on a series he had no involvement with, but also because it only lists the original group of actors from the first twenty or so episodes, making no mention of the actors who joined the cast later on such as Peter Marinker. Similarly, it wouldn't be the first time IMDb has listed the wrong actor(s) for a role they didn't do - a prime example of this is the English dub of Felidae, where IMDb incorrectly lists some high-profile actors for doing the English voices, when in actuality the cast consisted of a small group of London-based voice actors, several of whom actually provided voice work on this series in fact.
The Groke - originally the article listed Frank Welker for doing the voice. I'm not sure why Frank Welker was listed as it's clearly not him doing the voice and he had absolutely no involvement with the series, but it's actually Jeff Harding who provides the Groke's voice, or at the very least her one spoken line (like with the previous example, you can hear it's the same actor from the sound of the voice/line delivery).
Mymble - originally the article listed Joanna Ruiz as the third English voice actress for Mymble. While Joanna Ruiz was working on the English dub by that point, she never did Mymble's voice - the actress who actually did the voice was Joanne McQuinn. The voice (first heard in the 'Painting a House' episode if I recall correctly) is identical to that of Alicia's second voice, which Joanne McQuinn unmistakably provided.
Too-Ticky - originally the article listed three actresses for voicing Too-Ticky, namely Stacey Gregg (aka Stacey Jefferson), Emily Stride (Susan Sheridan's daughter) and Toni Barry. However, Too-Ticky only appeared in a handful of episodes, and in all but one of them she is unmistakably voiced by Stacey Gregg (the one exception is the 'Midwinter Bonfire' episode), so that would mean there were only two actresses for the character in the English dub, not three. As to who voiced Too-Ticky in the remaining episode, several sources (here and here) state that Emily Stride voiced the character, so that would mean it's her in that episode and therefore not Toni Barry (on a side note, there were some uncredited child actors in several episodes of the English dub, so it's possible Emily Stride is one of them).
Thingumy and Bob - While Stacy Gregg voiced both characters originally as the article correctly states, they are quite clearly voiced by Joanne McQuinn (Thingumy) and Joanna Ruiz (Bob) in episode 74.
Ninny - originally the actress was listed as unknown, but this character was in fact voiced by Stacey Gregg. It's more or less a shier version of Alicia's first voice.
Muddler - originally the actor was listed as unknown, but this character was in fact voiced by Jeff Harding. In the character's first appearance his voice sounds noticeably different from what he does in his second and third appearances where he sounds exactly like Sniff, but like with the previous examples with Jeff Harding, the line deliveries/vocal inflections match up with those of the other characters he voices, which would mean it's the same actor across all three episodes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.255.101 (talk) 19:43, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
