12" release NOT a promo
editBefore my edit, the article referred to the 12" release as a promo, but this isn't the case. Although there was a vinyl promo (P12MUTE248), the release with cat. no 12VAA002 was in-fact an 'official' 12" release, though only on sale in specialist shops. I've amended the article and info box to reflect this. I've also moved the track listing to below the CD listing, as I think most would consider the CD to be the primary release and makes more sense to be listed first. References required
editI've added 'citation needed' notes to places where I think statements need referencing. Namely:
- "Originally intended as the second single": I thought 'Alien' was considered as a second single. But either way, unless documentation can be referenced, I'm not sure this claim can be made (either that, or it's a redundant statement, as it IS the second single, albeit in a non-chart eligible form!)
- "Erasure's U.S. record label at the time, requested the single remixes": Maverick certainly requested re-works and additional songs for the Loveboat album, but unless a source can be referenced, I'm not sure this release can be said to be the outcome of that.
- "...credited to "V & A", a technique occasionally used by record labels to obscure artists' identities.. so that disc jockeys who do not normally play Erasure music would not pass it over based solely on the Erasure name": I've no doubt that this is the case and it seems somewhat obvious, but I think there are 2 things that need citations here: 1] that it's a practice used by the industry in general to obscure identities, and 2] that it was used here with Erasure specifically for that reason.
