Page split proposal

- The result of this discussion was to split the page in two as per the proposal.
This article really should be split into two pages given it refers to two entirely different clubs (that just happened to share the same name and colours).
I propose:
- Moorabbin Football Club – primary page for the original club that won two VFA premierships and 12 Federal FL premierships. Include redirect page at Moorabbin Football Club (1909–1965), although a source is needed for the club establishment date, which is currently a bit murky.
- Moorabbin Football Club (1979–1987) – secondary page for the club that spent some time in the VFA second division in the '80s.
Each page would then have a hatnote directing readers to their identically-named counterparts. In terms of fixing inbound links, the majority should be able to stay where they are originally pointed, I will just need to clean up the ones that refer to Moorabbin in the '80s (season pages and the like). - Seems reasonable. Probably also worth a hatnote to Southern Football Netball League where the current club plays. Pinging Jevansen who created the article just to see if they have any opinion. Jenks24 (talk) 07:38, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
- Support - split makes total sense Totallynotarandomalt69 (talk) 23:55, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
Sounds like a good solution Gibbsy. There's a similar situation with Coorparoo Football Club/Coorparoo Football Club (1996). Good to see you back again Jenks24 and well done on Eddie Fox, looks great. Jevansen (talk) 10:44, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
