editThe legislative record section of this article is biased, and provides no information whatsoever about his legislatiove record. Rather it is a selective discussion of how several interests groups happen to regard him. I believe this section should be deleted or actually discuss his legislative record. Positions
editThe sections on Marriage and Gun Control read like campaign literature.Cadwallader (talk) 16:04, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
Rather than writing "Morgan Griffith supports X", it would be more encyclopedic to report on public statements and votes that can be cited. I suggest redoing the Gun Control and Marriage sections to cite actual public statements and votes that Griffith has made related to these issues. 67.142.168.144 (talk) 17:48, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
Most other politician pages on Wikpedia have either a "Political Views" or "Political Positions" section. The better written ones don't have a subheading for each subject, but do go over the candidates history of votes and public statements on various political controversies. I suggest redoing Morgan Griffith's political positions section to provide a good summary of his history in the Virginia House of Delegates up to this point (2010).Cadwallader (talk) 15:21, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I've researched Griffith's voting record and tried to do a fair job of representing his positions and voting history over a pretty broad range of subjects. The reason abortion has its own section is that Griffith has a bit of a conflict between his campaign rhetoric and his actual voting record and position surveys in the past. If he has changed his position since 1999 regarding first-trimester abortion I am not aware of any public record of it, but would welcome correction with solid references. As it is this section is quite relevant, since it was an issue in his 2010 campaign, and he sought out the endorsement of various pro-life leaders in his race against Rick Boucher, even running a TV commercial with him and the leader of a pro-life group. It is also historically significant. I'm open to re-edit, but any attempts by Griffith or his staff/supporters to delete references again will be considered vandalism and reverted. Do Not Delete Position Section
editDeletion of the Positions section without any justification is vandalism and may result in loss of editing rights. Cadwallader (talk) 15:04, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
This ip address keeps blanking the political positions section (three times now): 74.95.98.194 . I recommend this IP should be blocked because of refusal to follow the policies. Cadwallader (talk) 16:22, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Refs
editShould references from the same site, but different pages be listed as "Ibid"? Cadwallader (talk) 16:28, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Pretty much all of the references from Project VoteSmart are broken, as they link to search filters that return no results. Someone with more time than me should attempt to relocate those references and link to them in a more permanent way. Wonkeythemonkey (talk) 13:10, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
Freedom Caucus
editWhere is the membership and role? CNN NEW DAY aug 25 2017, details of debt ceiling and Trump are worthy of inclusion.

Wife's surname (Davis vs Griffith)
edit"Griffith is married to the former Hilary Davis." Why does it say "former Hilary Davis" instead of "Hilary Griffith (nee. Davis)"? I'm kind of new to Wikipedia, but is this an error or is it right? I'm sure that she goes by Hilary Griffith from social media accounts and personal acquaintance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evieliam (talk • contribs) 22:28, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
