Wot no pics? Where is Arpingstone when you need him??? :)

Bless you for your most appreciated commendation. Sadly, although I have around 700 car pics that I've taken at car shows various, I've not got a Morris Oxford. Best Wishes from Adrian - Adrian Pingstone 20:47, 22 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Why no mention of the 1915-1917 Continental engined cars??? Serious omission. B

I could be wrong but weren't all the Continental engined cars actually Cowleys and not Oxfords? Malcolma 20:52, 27 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Morris models missing

edit

Has anyone else noticed that there is a break in the flow of Morrises in 1935. They restart in 1948. The cars concerned are covered nowhere in Wikipedia except (some of them) by red links. Their names might be 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 25 split into series I, II, and III I suspect. There are matching Wolseleys, in fact I think this might be exactly when Wolseleys ceased to be quite distinct and became badge engineered Morrises.
Get an idea of what's involved from these links (the lists are certainly incomplete) Morrises and Wolseleys, Eddaido (talk) 11:27, 29 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

There would seem to be plenty of scope for additional pages on Austin models from that era, although grouping the models logically would be a challenge. The Michael Sedgwick / Mark Gillies "A-Z of cars of the 1930s" would be a good place to start. GTHO (talk) 10:56, 30 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
I thought there was little co-operation between Austin and Morris at this period. Eddaido (talk) 11:12, 30 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I did mean to type "Morris", not "Austin". Silly mistake. GTHO (talk) 09:21, 1 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Split

edit

Would it be better if this article was split up into:

  • Morris Oxford bullnose and flatnose
  • Morris Oxford 6 cylinders
  • Morris Oxford 1948-1971 (or series I to VI) (or post WWII)

or:

  • Morris Oxford before 1945
  • Morris Oxford after 1945

Your thoughts please. Eddaido (talk) 23:39, 6 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

or:

  • Morris Oxford bullnose and flatnose
  • Morris Oxford six
  • Morris Oxford postwar
  • Morris Oxford Farina

Eddaido (talk) 20:55, 31 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

better:

  • Morris Oxford bullnose and flatnose
  • Morris Oxford six
  • Morris Oxford MO
  • Morris Oxford series 2
  • Morris Oxford series 3
  • Morris Oxford Farina
