Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is a significant event in the small rural community of Mortlake in Victoria, Australia. It provides volunteering opportunities for members of our community, both young and old.
With under 1000 people in this rural town and many budding artists the art show endevaours to keep this talent locally; many young people are migrating to the city of Melbourne for various reasons, leaving a void in the township.
I have, this afternoon, begun to link to other Wikipedia pages and have created a link TO the Art Show page from Mortlake, Victoria page.
Your assistance to improve the Art Show page and keep it up would be very much appreciated.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2628virginia (talk • contribs)
- @2628virginia: Please note that all articles must have independent reliable sources indicating how the subject meets the relevant notability guidelines, in this case those for events. I don't doubt that this art show is important to the community, but there must be independent reliable sources indicating why it merits a mention in a global encyclopedia(which not every event does). 331dot (talk) 09:20, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
Thank you. I understand. I will continue to add relevant links to address the needs to independently source the merits. Appreciate your assistance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2628virginia (talk • contribs) 10:12, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
- I would ask you if you are affiliated with this show in any way? There are certain things you will need to do if you are. 331dot (talk) 10:16, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
