Brooke, I added some sweet comments (sweeter than Nick's comments) to your article. Hope you enjoy. --IamWill (talk) 19:59, 11 April 2017 (UTC)IamWill
I think everyone has made some good suggestions that you should try and incorporate into your article. I know you are planning on expanding it, and certainly the history section (and maybe talking about the significance of the theory in that section as well?) and adding additional examples will help that. Remember that in line with Wikipedia format, the first part of your article is the lead section, which is a summary of the key points of the topic. I'm not sure if that is what your Background section is intended to be or not, so adjust accordingly. Also, I'm assuming you will add in some of the key predictions of the mosaic theory that we read in the papers you assigned - about how the mosaic theory explains why arms races don't alway escalate, as well as coevolutionary hotspots and coldspots, etc. Also, I like the idea of an examples section, and I would definitely include more. Perhaps for each example you don't need to explain in as much detail the particulars of the data from the papers, like for the Toju and Sota 2005 one, but more of a 3-4 sentence summary of the system and how it mosaic coevolution is operating in it. I think this is a good start, and a really interesting topic! Advevol (talk) 17:46, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
geographic mosaic theory of coevolution?
editThis article seems to just discuss coevolution generally, as opposed to the "geographic mosaic theory of coevolution", originated by John. N Thompson, which is what I would have expected by the title. I wonder if this page should be merged with the coevolution page? Also, the theory proposed by Ehrlich and Raven is generally referred to as escape and radiate coevolution (which already has a page) -- not geographic mosaic as stated here. Ethan Bass (talk)
