Talk:Moscow Rizhsky railway station

English name

I see that per the historical postcards, "Gare Vindau" translates to "Ventspils Station" or more properly the historical "Windau", not Rīga. I checked my Baedeker's Russia 1914, and it's listed as 7 (of 9) stations: "Windau Station (Виндавскій вокзалъ), near the Krestovskaya Zastava, for Ryezhitza (Wirballen), Riga, and Windau — Tramways 17 & 19." I expect it's "Rīga" station now (per the information on the picture of the station today) because there's no longer any train through to the port of Ventspils. Sorry for the rollbacking, I've pressed wrong button.. I don't think we need to change the name to Rizhsky Station or Riga Station, since in Russia there are two different terms, станция (station) and вокзал (rail terminal). The latter term might be used for big stations, but the quality distinction between the two types of stations is important, and Rizhsky Station is problematic from the point of view of Russian language (станция is feminine, while Rizhsky is masculine), and Riga Station strongly implicates it is situated in Riga.
