CE and further information on this article

edit

In the process of my review for DYK, I copyedited some minor parts, adding links and a caption for the Biography section. - As the source for the work by Maimonides names The Guide for the Perplexed, which was written in Judeo-Arabic and later translated into Hebrew, it would be useful to find another source that says that the translation was reprinted. Also, the Infobox could use more data to make it useful for a quick glance, as it is intended. - Finally I also added the German article as a source for this partially translated article, which is a requirement. Thanks. I'll take a look for another source for the reprinting of Maimonides. However, regarding the German article, I didn't translate it. I don't speak German. Andre🚐 20:22, 8 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi, sorry for my assumption that it is a partial translation. But looking at the older German article, there are substantial parts that gave me the impression it was partly translated. - Of course, the biography is the same, but as you say you didn't translate it, I will delete the mention "translated from". No worries. I suspect it's more of a parallel evolution. There are only so many texts of biographies that can be composed given the same sources relied upon, but I promise the text is mine and I didn't translate it. Andre🚐 21:02, 8 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks again for the review. I expanded the article and added some more sources and some more material to the infobox as well. Andre🚐 22:31, 8 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
