I propose that this page be moved to Moss Side, Lancashire, in line with other Lancashire villages such as Anderton, Lancashire, Banks, Lancashire, Overton, Lancashire and Rufford, Lancashire - at the moment it's the only village in Lancashire using its parliamentary constituency as its marker. Any thoughts? Aquilina 10:41, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- No thoughts, it would appear. As there's been no dissenting voices, and the move is in line with WP naming conventions, I'm going to move the article now, and edit the corresponding redirects accordingly. If there's any problems with this move, direct them to User_talk:Aquilina. Aquilina 13:39, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
The title of this article could lead to confusion with the hamlet where Moss Side railway station is located, also in Lancashire between Wrea Green and Lytham. --Snigbrook (talk) 02:57, 3 May 2008 (UTC) I've added a hatnote to distinguish the two. --Snigbrook (talk) 03:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Moss Side, Lancashire → Moss Side, South Ribble —
- The well known Moss Side (in Greater Manchester) was in Lancashire
- Brown Moss Side is the location of Moss Side railway station
- There is also a Moss Side near Pilling

- Oppose per WP:UKPLACE. County is the correct dab as per the previous move discussion above. Nancy talk 06:49, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Agree, probably; the county dab may be correct, but Crouch Swale has a point; there are at least three Moss Sides in Lancashire, so leaving the dab at county level isn't sufficient. Swanny18 (talk) 18:49, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, support - UKPLACE obviously doesn't say that we use the county as a disambiguator if it wouldn't be sufficient to disambiguate, as seems to be the case here.--Kotniski (talk) 11:20, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

- I'm not sure who's responsible for this page, but the link mentioned here hasn't been updated since 2007. As its referred to in the entry as the "New" community site it seems like the definition of new is being stretched quite a bit. 😁 Efan78 (talk) 03:13, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
