If anyone can contribute, please do so. I wish to find more Chinese sources, as it appears only BBC reported on the mine. -- 李博杰 | —Talk contribs 07:00, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

My rewrite
editI found an excellent source of info about Toromocho in a Technical Report written for Peru Copper by International Mining Consultants of Tucson. Unfortunately I a now a bit rusty on mine modelling so if anyone is fresher, go ahead and check and modify my numbers. Its clear that the deposit is not homogeneous (spelling?) and there are going to be significant variations in output from year to year. More important, practically all the holes bottomed still in mineralisation so the reserves and resources are undoubtedly understated. I might try to make more of the Technical Report which would appear to be an accurate assessment of the project now, given the calibre of the consulting firms involved, but it is probably not worth it as I don't expect the Chinese to tell us much about what is going on from now on.Egoli (talk) 21:49, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- P.S. I hope I have not offended our Chinese readers with my accusations of secrecy. If so. erase them fast.Egoli (talk) 21:55, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
