Talk:Muhammad Shah of Brunei

Weird

edit

Removed repaste of the article from talk section.

Article given by 112.202.172.133 is obviously cut and pasted from somewhere else ("Bruney?"). Early version included link to a webby page dedicated to a present-day pretender to the throne, but couldn't find this information on that page either. Perhaps a former version of the Brunei history center's page? If someone could check using the Wayback Machine, that'd be great. — LlywelynII 21:26, 1 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Legally?

If the Sultanate is only existing constitutionally, then it is not a U.N charter member.
Therefore, it is not legally a Country-State.

This page is a mess

edit

I'm hoping a knowledgeable person can clean it up. If not, I suggest deleting all non-references, duplicate and contradictory information. SkyLined (talk) 09:36, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

I cleaned up the first paragraph. I was unable to do any more because on closer inspection, the rest of the page looks like a bunch of random words to me - their relation to the title of the page is a mystery. SkyLined (talk) 09:48, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Overhaul

edit

I note User:SkyLined above. This page is a mess. I somehow was looking up Brunei for some reason and came to this page and it makes no sense at all. The dates are confused, it's not on topic, and I'm not sure if they aren't confusing multiple people. Much better pages seem to be deleted off Wikipedia. I will make some changes to at least make it readable and quotable, but needs attention from experts. - Master Of Ninja (talk) 16:01, 3 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have cleaned the page up and made it actually readable. The problem with this topic is that a lot of facts are unverifiable unless you look at the original Chinese records. Even the official Brunei genealogy records were only written in the 19th century so there are a lot of unknowns in the life of this person (and probably other persons of that time). There even seems to be debate whether this man was Chinese, or even Buddhist. - Master Of Ninja (talk) 18:15, 3 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for looking into this! SkyLined (talk) 14:48, 4 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I have added additional information and reorganised the structure of the article itself. Hope this gives it a better look and is more readable. Pangalau (talk) 13:31, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
