The statement "perusal of catalogs of old and new models shows that none of the 37 models originally manufactured by Induguay were ever reissued by Mattel" isn't quite specific enough. Some of the "models" actually continued to be issued by Mattel, but they were not the same castings. All of the castings used by Induguay are the same as the Mattel US castings. In cases where there were also Hong Kong castings, some of the cars were still produced by Mattel in Hong Kong. Several of the US castings that were never used by Induguay were instead used by LEO in India. Dcell59 (talk) 23:15, 15 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

So...same castings or not the same castings? You contradict yourself.--Cstevencampbell (talk) 00:03, 16 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I don't see where I am contradicting myself. Castings are not the same as models. A US Deora is not the same casting as a Hong Kong Deora. The reason I brought this up is that if you just say that none of the models used by Induguay were ever reissued by Mattel, people might point out that Mattel reissued cars like the Deora. The reissues of the same "models" that Muky used are Hong Kong castings, and not the US castings. This adds credence to the theory that Muky got the dies from Mattel, though obviously it's not proof. I wish I had more details, but I sold all of my Muky cars to Mike Strauss about 10 years ago. I included more details in the original Wikipedia Muky article that was removed by someone a long time ago.Dcell59 (talk) 23:57, 15 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

I never thanked you for this information. Cstevencampbell (talk) 22:58, 20 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
