Hi, I would like to add information about one more available MultiCloud model:

Among the modern PaaS solutions, that provide Multi-Cloud without vendor lock-in could be named Jelastic, enabling customers to mix and match different infrastructure and cloud offerings within one cluster. Juicezt (talk) 14:36, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

The Google cloud mention is certainly advertising

It is highlighted as a solution to all multi-cloud issues.

However there are many offerings by other vendors not mentioned there, and these are far from removing all the underlying complexities or providing all the underlying functionalities of a single cloud vendor.

For the same reasons discussed at Talk:Cloud_computing#Proposed_edit,_looking_for_consensus. When someone objects on one article, that doesn't mean you should wait a bit and then make the same edit on a related article. MrOllie (talk) 19:06, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

@MrOllie: I apologize, I assumed your objection was related to the fact that the other article is the overarching Cloud Computing topic and that my edits were too specific for that broad topic. I later realized there was this separate, specific article on this topic where it is much more appropriate. I agree that it probably does not need to be included on the Cloud Computing page if there is a separate article here about Multicloud. But I don't understand the reasoning for not allowing it here. There is a section already for "Commercial products for the multicloud" which would clearly be the appropriate place for notable commercial options. Again, we're talking about a notable partnership between notable organizations within the exact field of this topic. Ronanitu (talk) 19:15, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

In June 2019, Microsoft and Oracle announced a partnership to connect their cloud services between Azure and Oracle Cloud.

Please see the discussion about this at Talk:Cloud_computing#Proposed_edit,_looking_for_consensus where it appears there is a single editor who has a strong opinion about excluding this information. This is non-controversial information, has received significant coverage in reliable third-party sources (therefore notable for inclusion), and is highly relevant to the topic of article. I'm looking to get other eyes on this for consensus, and if you agree, to please add to the page.  Not done @Ronanitu: Companies make announcements frequently on what they plan to do, and sometimes the announcements do not happen and fade into obscurity. Since Wikipedia does not predict the future, and avoids promoting companies, I would rather wait until the results of this announcement happen before adding it to the article: either the merge is complete, or the companies do not merge and the rejection is notable of itself.
