editI've removed the links to http://www.mungikinews.com as it does not appear to be a reliable source. It seems that they've copied this Wikipedia article verbatim on their About Mungiki page. ~MDD4696 21:05, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
forced female circumcision, not clear
editthe sentence "This includes rejection of Christianity, and practicing forced female circumcision." is not clear. are they rejecting female circumcision, probably not, but that could be inferred. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.64.173.216 (talk) 20:40, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- Changed it to "This includes rejection of Christianity, and practicing by the Mungiki of forced female circumcision." to increase readability. (Hypnosadist) 00:37, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- i think that should be removed entirely. female circumcision has very little to do with the group's core ideals. mentioning it in the introduction is misrepresentative of the priorities of the Mungiki. from the way parts of the article are written it seems like there is major bias all throughout.24.6.236.78 (talk) 23:48, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
The reference to forced female circumcision should remain. This has been confirmed by a Mungiki leader that this is one of their 'necessary' initiations for women members. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.15.105.74 (talk) 19:30, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
