edit- Request to Move to Category:California
Subcategory:List of State Agencies
This is within scope of WikiCalifornia project. Municipal Advisory Councils nationwide all originated with California state legislation in 1970 authorizing the formation of this type of local government for unincorporated areas. This State action was not taken for mundane reasons but rather in specific response to the civil disturbances of the era, the sixties. Period. This page completely ignores the genesis and legislative intent behind the development of this limited form of political institution.
This page should be removed from the Category:Local Government in the United States.
I need to edit this page. Overall, it is good but not definitive and, as the author admits, incomplete. So it goes with all history. But let's capture as much of it as we can now.Weathervane13 03:42, 23 April 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Weathervane13 (talk • contribs)
