Dr. Phil

edit

I am wondering if his episode dedicated to covering this case should be listed as notable exposure in popular culture. He plugs the Footsteps in the Snow book and also announces the upcoming documentary I think which was scheduled to air in November.

His coverage wasn't entirely balanced, he dedicated most of the time to people saying John-Jack was guilty. Advocates for the accused did not get as much time. The step-daughter got the most while she didn't even know him at the time, meanwhile the girlfriend who did know him at the time got only a few moments before Phil cut her off right at the end, without addressing her character statements. Name of mother

edit

Due to the relevance of an alleged testimony by the mother of John and Janet Tessier (should we call her Mrs. Tessier?) knowing her full name would be useful for discussing her on this article. Does anyone know if any of the sources mention this detail? No BLP concerns in that regard. Ranze (talk) 11:49, 24 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Her name's already in the article under the part where John is born (or perhaps it was added after your comment) - Eileen McCullough Cherry Tessier. No need to repeat it in the section about Janet. TheBlinkster (talk) 17:27, 11 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Why is this page under "Death of Maria Ridulph" not "Murder of Maria Ridulph"?

edit

There is a forensic anthropologist report saying this little girl was killed by stabbing, and the circumstances of her death appear to be a murder (i.e. she did not accidentally take off half her clothes and expire in a field miles from home, and at her age it's unlikely she attacked someone who killed in self-defense). Regardless of whether McCullough did it or not, this looks to be a murder. So why is this page under "Death of Maria Ridulph" rather than "Murder of Maria Ridulph"? It seems like "Death of..." is appropriate where there is some question whether the death is a homicide, but there doesn't seem to reasonably be such a question here. Hearing no other comments, I have requested that page be uncontroversially moved by admin since it won't let me overwrite the existing redirect at Murder of Maria Ridulph. TheBlinkster (talk) 19:50, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I have read an article about the deathbed Confession of a mother,
