Graham Pressley update
editI believe Graham Pressley has been released, someone should update that. I have no proof, but if he was to be released at 25, he should have been released last year. Thefilmmaking (talk) 07:32, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Hollywood's Age
editHollywood was born on January 28, 1980, the Murder was in August, 2000. That makes him 20 at the time of murder. (Please stop changing his age - both 13 and 23 have appeared in recent edits).
Jesses
editJesse Rugge is not Jesse James Hollywood. The link under Capture, 2nd paragraph is pointing to Jesse James Hollywood, it should be fixed:
Jesse Rugge, age 20, was charged with aiding in the kidnap and execution of Nicholas Markowitz. Rugge was the gang member who bound Nicholas hands together and put tape over his mouth moments before the execution. His trial started in April of 2002 and ended in September of 2002.

Sources?
editThis reads more like the script from Alpha Dogs. Any sources for this information? 198.6.46.11 17:22, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Grammar
editThis article has horrible grammar...most of the sentences need commas and need to be reworded. 70.81.79.165 22:59, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Money
editI think that Benjamin Markowitz was in debt 1200 dollars, and hoyt was in debt 1000 dollars. http://www.crimelibrary.com/notorious_murders/celebrity/jesse_james_hollywoo/1.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.191.125.46 (talk) 06:04, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Fact or Fiction?
editSome of the content on this page can’t be verified and there are no listed sources. Therefore none of it should be listed as fact. Such details as "hit with a shovel" are from the film alpha dog and may not be true events.
- It is a fact that the producers of the film "Alpha Dog" had virtually unlimited access to the case files maintained by the prosecutor's office, and therefore one can reasonably conclude that the plot of the film provides a relatively accurate source and, everything else being equal, is a reasonable substitute when alternative, more trust-worthy sources are not available. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.167.7.107 (talk) 06:33, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, one can't reasonably conclude that. Screenwriters routinely change details of a story, even a true story, to make it more interesting or shocking. Even if this were not the case, corroboration from a secondary source would still be desirable. ThePedanticPrick (talk) 14:43, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Pictures of the people involved
editHey everyone. I am not very familiar with the editing interface and stuff, so could anyone add pictures of Hoyt, Markowitz brothers and other guys? I found some of them here: http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/notorious_murders/celebrity/jesse_james_hollywoo/1.html It is a large article (like 15 pages), and there are some mistakes in the article i.e. the amount of money Ben Makowitz was owing to Hollywood but what we need is pictures, right? Thank you. I'll try to keep track of this page so if anything is unclear (my language or anything else), leave me a message here. - Dmitry Z. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.81.153.100 (talk) 03:19, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Fact
"Hansen: They head up into the woods. Nick Markowitz is bound with duct tape. What happens then? Katz: Ryan Hoyt takes a shovel and, basically, whacks Nick in the back of the head— cold cocks him. Pulls out this Tech 9, one squeeze of the trigger, nine bullets shoot out." This is taken from an interview by Dateline in January 2005. It seems as though the shovel scene in the movie was accurate and can, in fact, be left in the article. Source |
