Income tax invasion
editThe second paragraph in the section "Mob Career" says "In 1934 Humphreys was jailed by the Federal Government for income tax invasion". Shouldn't that be "income tax evasion"? I did not make any changes since I don't in fact know if he was jailed for income tax evasion, but "income tax invasion" makes no sense to me. Please help! Mateat (talk) 02:59, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

The assistant state's attorney mentioned is likely Emmet Moynihan
editIn this 1937 paper, Emmet Moynihan is listed as Assistant State's attorney.
Google Retrieval of Lawrence Journal-World - Jun 10, 1937
Moynihan was also listed as the Cook County ASA in 1936
Quarter of the way down, page 143
In the FBI FOIA records on Humphrey's, on page 8, under heading 'HUMPHREYS Attorneys', it lists the Hump's attorney as the same Emmet Moynihan. It seems logical to assume that this is the ASA that Hump claimed to have turned back in Capone's days, who worked in Cook County as an ASA, and then becamse his attorney. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Siihb (talk • contribs) 21:02, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
Photo
editAs correctly noted in the image details (and in the book from which the photo is sourced), the photo features Humphreys with his wife Jeanne, not his daughter as stated in the caption.2A02:AA1:101F:744:86C:A77C:512B:B95F (talk) 10:14, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
