Neutrality
editNeutral point of view (NPOV) is a fundamental Wikimedia principle and a cornerstone of Wikipedia. All Wikipedia articles and other encyclopedic content must be written from a neutral point of view, representing fairly, and as far as possible without bias, all significant views that have been published by reliable sources. This is non-negotiable and expected of all articles and all editors.
For example: "A strong workhorse, Thompson is known to be accessible, highly competent, intelligent and creative in his electoral work. A skilled speaker and loyal community player, Thompson has built solid rapport across many ethnic, civic, environmental, sporting and school communities in his electorate and elsewhere. Appreciated for his genuine communication skills and intellectual command of wider policy issues, Thompson is known as a politician 'worth his wage' and respected for his professionalism, competency and good will."
I am not in a position to dispute the validity of such assertions, but if this is indeed published, widespread opinion, then these statements require sufficient citation. One could only question the objectivity of these statements if they remain unsubstantiated, compromising the integrity of not only these assertions, but the article altogether.
