Need more citations

edit

Creating the page per request on WP:RA/AA, as it is linked to in the page for Claus Sluter as well as the articles for several Burgundian archaeological finds, including the article for Sequana. However, despite drawing much information from the French page on the subject, that page includes no citations. I've done my best to translate the information over (I have not brought over any photographs of the collections yet), but more sources than the NYT one I added will be needed to verify claims, especially regarding the history of its founding. Many sources will probably be in French. Deku link (talk) 09:54, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

  •   This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline and either hook could be used, the article is neutral, and I detected no copyright issues. No QPQ is needed here. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:10, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • @Deku link: A very important point! The article seems to be at least in part a translation of the French Wikipedia article. To conform with Wikipedia's copyright obligations, you should declare this on the talk page (I have done this in this instance), and mention it in the edit summary where the translation was done - something like "Translating from the French Wikipedia article" is sufficient. @Cwmhiraeth: Thank you for doing so! I wasn't aware that needed to be done and I will keep it in mind for future translations (although a good amount of it is paraphrased to accommodate sources I had to find, since the French article lists none! Furthermore, if the first or second hook needs to be longer, it could be clarified that the offerings are ex votos thrown into the Seine and that the abbey is specifically the Abbey of St. Bénigne.
Cwmhiraeth, this was expanded on 15 April but not nominated until 2 May. Is that okay? MeegsC (talk) 12:02, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@MeegsC: You are right. I got distracted by the translation business! This is a first DYK for the nominator so I suggest we allow it. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:26, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Okay to run. Saving for 18 May, International Museum Day MeegsC (talk) 07:58, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
