Oath to Flag not a symbol of defiance against government
editNo evidence to support that oath to Eureka Flag was a "symbol of defiance against the ruling colonial government". Rather, it was an oath to "defend rights and liberties" of miners who were faced with buying highly priced mining permits. Also no citation for this point. Is the said statement a matter of opinion that should be removed? EllsworthSchmittendorf (talk) 14:15, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
