Music for Cars (EP)Music for Cars – Their new album isn't called Music for Cars anymore. Unreal7 (talk) 18:59, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Just to clarify, @JE98: It was not a "rumor" that the album was called Music for Cars, it was called that. Matt Healy changed his mind, per himself here: https://twitter.com/Beats1/status/1002263450632925184 Ss112 20:04, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Ss112: Oh ok, regardless that dab page needs to go. JE98 (talk) 20:16, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Article looks pretty good. This is how a quick look at it looks like:

Good Article review progress box
Criteria: 1a. prose ( ) 1b. MoS ( ) 2a. ref layout ( ) 2b. cites WP:RS ( ) 2c. no WP:OR ( ) 2d. no WP:CV ( )
3a. broadness ( ) 3b. focus ( ) 4. neutral ( ) 5. stable ( ) 6a. free or tagged images ( ) 6b. pics relevant ( )
Note: this represents where the article stands relative to the Good Article criteria. Criteria marked   are unassessed

I'll be reviewing this while I listen to the album itself, since I'm really into anything ambient after... well, y'know, this extremely haunting work of art

Lead and infobox

edit
  • "by English band" > "by English pop rock band"
  • "the 1975. It was released" > "the 1975, released"   Done
  • "the rest of the EP" > "the other tracks of the EP"   Done
  • Wikilink concept to concept album   Done
  • "in Healy's bedroom" - this sentence may be confusing to those that are not familiar with who Matthew Healy is (including myself); perhaps change to "in the bedroom of singer Matthew Healy"?   Done
  • "from contemporary music critics. Praise was given to the EP's" > "from music critics, who praised the EP's"   Done

Background and development

edit
  • Apparently only ref 2 supports the two first statements, whereas ref 1 supports neither of them
  • Wikilink record labels to record label   Done
  • "In August of the same year" - of what year?   Done
  • "told Some Kind of Awesome" > "told to magazine Some Kind of Awesome"   Done

Composition

edit
  • "format"; asserting that with the" > "format"; with the   Done
  • "[10][14][15][16]" - this is citation overkill, remove the one you find least reliable
  • "[10][12][21][22]" - overkill II
For the above two points; each ref contains a different piece of info for the sentence, unfortunately, British English omits the last comma in a list, which leads to bundling of sources at the end of the sentence. I've moved the refs where I could to directly after the info they support. Giacobbe talk 18:55, 19 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Wait a minute. British English doesn't omit the last comma in a list (and even if it did, there is no mention of it at MOS:SERIAL). This British English article I'm working in always uses the "serial comma" or "Oxford comma". The style you seem to be going for is no use of this comma, which is ok. What matters is for it to be a consistent thing for the entirety of the article. Wetrorave (talk) 00:33, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Release and reception

edit
  • "She commented that "Chocolate" was the record's "obvious main attraction", she found the remaining four songs more" > "The writer commented that, while "Chocolate" was the record's "obvious main attraction", the remaining four songs are more"   Done
  • Why the 'while' at "while commending"   Done
  • "the EP along" > "the EP, along"   Done

Promotion

edit
  • Nice

Track listing

edit
  • Change the |headline= parameter from "Music for Cars" to "Music for Cars track listing"

Personnel

References

edit
  • Ref 16 is duplicated by ref 25   Done
  • Unless the website is not archivable by the Wayback Machine, like in the case of The Quietus' reviews/interviews, there should be archive-urls in the following refs:   Done

@Wetrorave: Thank you for the speedy review   I believe I've incorporated/addressed all of your comments. Let me know if there's anything I've missed! Giacobbe talk 19:19, 19 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@(CA)Giacobbe: I have certainly not speedily responded but this wasn't a problem. Today, the article  Passes.
And yeah, the least I can do for others is a speedy review. Wetrorave (talk) 00:22, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
