Lead
  • but it retained its own distinctive and signature sound, → What sound is this?
"It's explained in the body, but the lead's not the place to do it, so I removed the phrase.
  • many of songs → A word is missing here
"Actually, the "of" is extra, so removed it.
  • became "timeless classics"[1] In order → Need a full stop.
  • and hit #11 on the Billboard charts → This is not specific enough. I presume you mean the Hot 100?
Last two items addressed.
  • A picture of Sesame Street would be good here. A lead with no picture looks a bit strange.
Well, there are plenty of GAs (and FAs, for that matter) that don't have an image in the lead. Images for Sesame Street articles have always been an issue. The Sesame Workshop, and rightly so, is fiercely protective of its images, so they're hard to come by. I've emailed them, and even wrote them a snail mail letter, but have had no response. I added the only approprate thing I could think of: the show logo.
  • By 1991, Sesame Street has → had

Purpose
  • A music sample or a couple of music samples would be good here
Um, I hesitate doing this for the above reason. There are plenty of examples of SS music out there. What do you think about linking to a couple of YouTube videos in an "External links" section?
Songs and songwriters
  • There's no point linking Danny Epstein if he has no article
Um, actually there is. As per WP:RED, the purpose of redlinks is to encourage the creation of new articles. This is the only redlink in this entire article, so it doesn't affect its aesthetics. Epstein really should have his own article, and it's something on my long-term to-do list, so I'd like to keep it.
  • Again, saying the Billboard charts is not specific enough.
  • Epstein called Moss "a true gentleman,[27] and → Need a closing quote
  • Cooney called him "a true music visionary",[27] He wrote → Need a full stop, not a comma. You need to check your full stops.
  • By 1991, Sesame Street has → had
Fixed.

I just added another image: the cover art of the first album. What do you think?

Thanks Aaron, appreciate it. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 17:29, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
"on the Billboard charts" still is not right. What's the problem with writing: "on the Billboard Hot 100 chart" ? That's what it is. It's one chart, not several.  — AARONTALK 20:34, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Nothing, done so. Thanks. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 23:25, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Passing. Well done.  — AARONTALK 23:33, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
