Mutius von TommasiniMuzio Tommasini – Commonest form of his name in Google books is the Italian form. German form 615 hits to Italian form 1600 hits, though in both a lot of hits are for non English sources. There is still a question of whether to use Muzio de' Tommasini, or longer name Muzio Giuseppe Spirito de Tommasini. The proposed name is that in the Italian Wikipedia. The current name was carried over in the translation from the German Wikipedia. Imc (talk) 19:15, 20 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

He probably most commonly appears in English language sources as "Tomm." (the botanical author abbreviation), but that's a pretty restricted context and not a good choice for an article title. IPNI does list the more English form "Mutius Joseph Spiritus Tommasini" as an alternative name. Plantdrew (talk) 16:43, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Support There can be no doubt that using the German form of his name was a simple mistake. Not clear what exact title is best but, per the sources and itwiki, the proposed title will work. —innotata 21:23, 22 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
