Vitamin

edit

You know, we Brits don't find "vit-a-min" to be remotely noteworthy, since for most of us it's the everyday one! It seems odd to single out this word as retaining British pronunciation unless there's some expectation that it might have moved to some other (American?) pronunciation. 86.132.138.205 04:59, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dialect?

edit

I doubt that it's correct to call Burmese English a dialect since it's not spoken as a native language. Aaker (talk) 15:10, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

135 ethnic groups

edit

From what I've heard, there are at least 135 ethnic groups in Burma/Myanmar. I'd have to wonder whether they'd all actually speak English the same way. Gringo300 (talk) 16:39, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
