Merging from M. avium intracellulare
editI am proposing merging Mycobacterium avium intracellulare here, because that page refers to the organism by obsolete taxonomy. Scientific references showing why M. intracellulare is NOT a subspecies of M. avium, are quoted on Talk:Mycobacterium avium intracellulare#Species name "avium" is obsolete for M. intracellulare.
Page Mycobacterium avium intracellulare seems to have a good image that might be nice here. That page also contains info about M. intracellulare and AIDS, which might be useful here, although I would appreciate it if other editors reviewed the quality of that page prior to merging.
A related question, less clearly settled by published scientific experiments, is whether Mycobacterium avium complex, which has a lot of useful info, should be moved to "M. avium-intracellulare complex" which is linked by this main article, but does not yet exist.
