I know I've come across copies of this music dating from 1900, although I can't provide citations. Right now, I'm looking at "The Burglar Rag", words "by Brady and Mahoney" (probably Jack Mahoney), music by Harry Ferguson, copyright 1912 by F.B. Haviland. This is 2 years prior to the publication listed in the article. The vamp of this song contains the mysterioso pizzicato. You can view at copy of the music at: http://digital.library.msstate.edu/cdm/ref/collection/SheetMusic/id/25706 - kosboot (talk) 15:38, 1 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
