Untitled section
editHmm... this article is totally backwards. The N-340 starts (has its km. 0) in Cádiz and finishes in Barcelona. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.5.163.47 (talk • contribs) 12:37, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
Requested move 5 January 2019

The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page at this time, per the discussion below; I have created N-340 road as a redirect. If this is revisited at some point, all similarly-named articles in the category should be considered as part of a multimove request. Dekimasuよ! 13:49, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
N-340 road (Spain) → N-340 – Unnecessary disambiguation. N-340 links here anyway. And if anything, wouldn't N-340 highway be better than road? Anarchyte (talk | work) 13:38, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Comment – I lean in the direction that N-340 highway is probably the better way to go here, as per WP:NATURALDIS. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:22, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- There's no need to disambiguate, but "highway" is not a WP:WORLDWIDE term, e.g. in England there is the "A340 road", not the "A340 highway" (although the rules of the road are in the Highway Code). 92.249.211.146 (talk) 16:07, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:CONSISTENCY. Looking at Category:National roads in Spain, this seems to be the de facto naming convention, even though quite a few could be moved to shorter titles (and some have shorter redirects). "N-xxx highway (Philippines)" and "Nxxx highway (Pakistan)" seem common patterns, too. I couldn't find a specific naming convention for roads. 92.249.211.146 (talk) 16:07, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:CONSISTENCY. Pointless change all national roads in Spain have the naming convention https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:National_roads_in_Spain --Rockysantos (talk) 17:09, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: @Rockysantos and IJBall: I'm quite fine with renaming to N-340 road, too. I opened a few from the category and they all had unnecessary disambiguation so if anything, they're also incorrect. Anarchyte (talk | work) 02:10, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
- They're not incorrect, and they are WP:PRECISE. 92.249.211.146 (talk) 03:34, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

Via Augusta ?
editIt follows the former Roman road Via Augusta. How that ? It seems to me, that N340 runs - at least at its western part - ar 150 km south (at the coast, e.g. Malaga) of the historic Via Augusta (Cordoba). Wistula (talk) 05:40, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
