Get ready to delete the two schools currently on this article...
editThe MEAC has dropped their membership moratorium effective immediately as of February 23, 2009... Both the schools on this article have submitted their applications into the conference and the MEAC has even listed that they have on their site... (And they've even said they are reviewing the two universities' applications...)
I posted about this on the independent basketball schools discussion page... Though now that the University of South Alabama is starting a varsity football program, shouldn't they be added onto this article? They're already listed on the list of FCS football programs article and are listed as "Independent"...
Honestly, I didn't know their first two years will be in the FCS subdivision, though on their athletic wikipedia article, it says that they'll be playing a full Sun Belt conference and will actually be part of the conference itself, which is why I find it confusing that they'll be FCS independent for their first two years then jump straight into the SBC in their first year of FBS play...
The Map Is Wrong
editThe Map showing the highlighted states has Alabama highlighted instead of Georgia. I am unaware of how to fix this.
- Georgia should also be listed... I updated the map and the page for the 2011 season. Bullshark44 (talk) 23:43, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
