Proposal to split page
editDoes anyone object to splitting the "NED" (acronym) references and references to "Ned" the given name? See Ted vs. TED as an example. LibertyHiller (talk) 17:40, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

- A merge suggestion was made as an edit summary in 2006, and merge done with ed summ "merged with NED, per WP:DAB#NAME". But i'm pretty sure
we arethe guideline is still in effect to split off names to an SIA from a Dab in cases like Carver when the names are numerous, and that certainly can be applied here.

- I split out just the given names, to Ned (given name).
Some may feel that the remaining Ned entries are less urgent to split out from the NED ones. I favor that split as well as the one i effected, but i don't presently care to do the work myself.
