Fair use rationale for Image:Nhlonfox.jpg

edit

Image:Nhlonfox.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Schedule

Is it really necessary to list every game in years past? I can't imagine anyone that who is interested in reading about the NHL on FOX would be interested in this. Besides, there are external links to this information. -Sme3 (talk) 16:04, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

4/18/99 Two more games were aired, Dallas at Colorado and Boston at Philadelphia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.244.76.196 (talk) 19:53, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fox or capitalized FOX

edit

According to the Fox Broadcasting Company article, the name is "Fox" (lowercase "ox"). FOX is just the style used in the logo. When spoken, it's a word, not initials (like ABC, which should be capitalized). Shouldn't then, (a) all references to the network be written as "Fox", and (b) the name of the article be changed to "NHL on Fox"? It's a pretty dramatic change, (especially "b") so I'm seeking some other feedback first. -Sme3 (talk) 16:07, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I see the article name has been changed. Thanks Firsfron. -Sme3 (talk) 01:50, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Showtimes

edit

I'm not sure the airtimes are encyclopedic, but can we at least say "start time was 3 pm Eastern unless otherwise noted" and then note the other start times? Abductive (talk) 09:06, 12 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I believe that not only are airtimes not encyclopedic, but the list of every game aired is not encyclopedic either, and the whole section should be removed. (would we list every game aired by ESPN or Versus?). The only reason the airtimes are relevant is if the network had a significant role in changing a normal schedule format (i.e. back-to-back playoff games or afternoon-game following night-game) for the benefit of ratings or to avoid network schedule conflicts. -Sme3 (talk) 01:08, 13 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on NHL on Fox. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

Isn't it necessary to change "Is" to "Was"? 212.164.204.182 (talk) 16:22, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
