'NOAAS Okeanos Explorer' or 'NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer'?
editI've been searching for what the 'S' in 'NOAAS' in 'NOAAS Okeanos Explorer' stands for. 'NOAA's Okeanos Explorer'? Following some naval writing convention? 'Ship'? Probably a good guess. Coudn't find anything within the article to clarify the matter. Except when I followed the link to the NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer homepage. There I was confronted with the fact that NOAA themselves never say 'NOAAS Okeanos Explorer'. It's always 'NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer'. Naming the article thus, in my view, would make a lot more sense. I 've never changed an articles title in Wikipedia, before, but I can clearly see that there's a wide range of consequences to be considered. Please help! Korinthus (talk) 18:57, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
