John Nady won an Emmy for his contribution to wireless technology. Wikipedia articles reference his equipment. Another references him as a bay area businessman. Our neighbors, Meyer Sound Laboratories, has a page listing their entire product line. I will edit for relevance now.
[mckyj57] I am not a fan of Nady equipment, but indeed they are a major seller of audio gear. Their stuff is low-quality, but it is widespread enough that I fail to see how you can keep them out of Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mckyj57 (talk • contribs) 14:46, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
The quality is debatable; but the quality of all mass manufactured products is in constant decline to remain cost competitive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.25.140.120 (talk) 01:56, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Nady marketing hype?
editDo you work for Nady? Your changes sound too much like marketing hype. I am seriously tempted to revert your changes due to commercial content.
Notability
editI cannot find many third party sources on this company that aren't online stores. I don't think this company should have its own article.
- You must not have looked very hard. If you go to the timeline on the Nady Company web site you will see they have many firsts in the low cost professional quality wireless devices for musicians market:
- 1976: First low cost wireless system for guitars
- 1977: Notable acts using Nady: Aerosmith, Van Halen, Styx, Neil Young
- 1979: First low cost wireless handheld microphone
- 1983: First American Pro Audio/MI company to shift its production to Hong Kong and China
- 1984: First wireless headset microphone
- 1991: First UHF PLL frequency agile wireless
- 1996: Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for “Outstanding Technical Achievement in Pioneering Wireless Microphone Technology.”
- I realize this is a company web site, but if you look in the popular musican type magazines of the time I am sure you will find lots of articles.Robert.Harker (talk) 22:42, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
