Notable?
editI see this was created only today. Why does she deserve an article now, just because her husband is dead? --dllu 16:54, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- Because she is a subject of multiple non-trivial, indepenent publications. Just give this stub some time, and do not BITE! MaxSem 17:44, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- I can understand that some editors make merger proposals, but to tag this article for deletion (non-notablitity) is not very constructive. Camptown 15:16, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ten years in, I agree that she has no independent notability, and that her page ought to be merged into his. Valetude (talk) 13:53, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

Merger
edit- The main discussion is taking place at the Boris talk page per the convention built into the template. -- Y not? 15:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Support - I agree that this topic, as it currently stands, should be merged into Boris' page. --Kukini hablame aqui 05:15, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose, This request is far too premature. Why shouldn't the first First Lady of Russia deserve her own page? Camptown 14:37, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Support - I also think it should be merged! Superzohar Talk 18:40, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose merge. -- Petri Krohn 22:15, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. Wikipedia has plenty of articles about first ladies, many of them much less notable per se. Colchicum 22:41, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- And a full biography of her woudn't be appropriate here. Colchicum 22:43, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. As first lady she deserved a separate article, like othersBiophys 13:45, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Very strongly oppose - but will change my vote if you agree to delete Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, and every other American First Lady. If American First Ladies are worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, why not Russian First Ladies? "Notability" DOES NOT confine itself to the Anglosphere. David Cannon 14:21, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, snap... I was sure it's only in the Anglosphere... hmmm... -- Y not? 16:30, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. I agree that as a First Lady she deserves to have her own biography. A link from Boris Yeltsin's page is sufficient.melanieness 18:01, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. If Martha Washington can have an article, then the 1st First Lady of the Russian Federation, should as well. GoodDay 18:18, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Why the a
editWhy does her name end with an a, Yeltina, is this something Russian or a typo?
