The statement that Nakano-ku was founded in 1947 seems to conflict with the corresponding page in the Japanese wikipedia, which states it was formed in 1932 when Nakano-cho and Nogata-cho were merged.
- After WW2, the Americans reformed the administration of Tokyo-to, merging many of the wards. Not all were merged. Nakano is an example of one that wasn't. This statement implying that all of the wards were created in 1947 appears in several others that were simply imported wholesale. In fact, one, Itabashi-ku, was actually split between Itabashi-ku and Nerima-ku Nik42 07:12, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)
