Tables removed
editWikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary. There is no place for translation tables, unless they are supplied with pieces of encyclopedic knowledge.
With the major rewrite, I shifted the focus to the geographical extents the terms in question refer to. --Nanshu (talk) 05:30, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Tomé Pires did not coin "Lequeos"
editThe following sentence, added by Coastaline (talk · contribs)[1] is plain wrong.
- Many European explorers used other alternative spellings, such as Lequeos, which was coined by Portuguese navigator Tomé Pires.<ref name=":1">{{Cite book|last=Lach|first=Donald F.|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=0x1Io6VOuAIC&q=lequeos&pg=PA653|title=Asia in the Making of Europe, Volume I: The Century of Discovery. - Tomé Pires did not coin Lequeos, as we can find earlier instances of it.
- It is a demonym, not a toponym.
NPOV
editThis article was moved and written with malicious intent by Nanshu to "unRyukyu" Okinawa. Most statements about the Ryukyu Kingdom attempt to dismiss, diminish, or remove any association with Okinawa or the other Ryukyu Islands. There is a lot of WP:OR and WP:SYNTH here where Nanshu is drawing his own conclusions from sources and misrepresenting facts. He wrote this article like a college paper making an argument. ミラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 06:55, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
