Nanning is amazing
editXiao, I agree. Nanning is an amazing city. I used to live there and among all the cities in China I've lived, it is by far the best. Good food, good people, good weather, good scenery!!!!! Mike 13:17, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi. Nanning is a beautiful city. The People's park is wonderful - we spent many days walking around, it was such a tranquil place! The people in Nanning are very friendly. It is a place my family looks forward to returning to some day.
Hello, I traveled to Nanning in November 2007. What a beautiful city. It is a wonderful combination of the old and the modern. I am from the United States, and the people there treated me with complete respect and kindness. I have some really nice pictures from Nanning that I would like to upload here, if I can figure out how to do it. I also met a lovely girl there and we are now engaged. This was my real purpose of going to Nanning, but the culture and sights were very fascinating. I highly recommend anyone to visit there. It will be worth every penny spent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joepatterson (talk • contribs) 04:04, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

urban districts
editThe six urban districts listed in the table as constituting the "city proper" are like slices of a pizza pie. In downtown Nanning, you can stroll through four of these districts in less than 15 minutes, and probably the fifth one in 15 minutes by bicycle. Each of these districts extends 40 or 50 kilometres into the countryside, and includes agricultural and village areas. The population is not entirely urban. The actual built-up area of the city is mostly contained within a radius of about 12 kilometres from the centre, extending a bit further along some of the main roads.
The other "counties" of the Nanning prefecture-level city region are not "suburban" in characteristics, as the table indicates. They are densely populated agricultural regions with their own large towns, towns and villages. Most of them are beyond substantial mountains from Nanning. Their public transport arrangements are inter-urban rather than suburban. Their population does not contain a substantial proportion of "commuters", as would normally be implied by the various English-language uses of the word "suburban".Lathamibird (talk) 11:20, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
