I'm sorry, but if I read those sentences, which I've copied from the text in the article, my Hairs are getting grey an my nails are rolling up, (German description for horrible in diverse things) in cause of grammatical defaults:
[citation:]The algae of the genus Nannochloropsis differ from other related microalgae [in that they have] chlorophyll a and completely lack chlorophyll b and chlorophyll c. In addition they are able to build up (a) high concentration(s) of a range of pigments such as astaxanthin, zeaxanthin and canthaxanthin.[5] They have a diameter of about 2 to 3 micrometers[6] and a very simple ultrastructure with reduced structural elements compared to neighbouring taxa.[end of citation]
I am not having real knowledge about algae and about those forms of life, but I am reading very much, in foreign languages and so I am very concerned about these Formulations.
It seems like being "hingeklatscht" like my husband says, if something is not very well formulated.
My husband and me were working very hard to learn englisch as well as we could, when we were going to school, and this is no discrimination, which I am formulating, but I look critically on all those things, which are posted on Wikipedia and I just wanted to give Feedback about that. I've marked the things in the text above with brackets. Angular Brackets meaning could be better formulated, rounded brackets need to be just one of the two marked things removed, which one is decision of the writer of the article --2001:16B8:2837:8000:9D16:DF8A:5F31:EC7F (talk) 11:02, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
Sorry, I couldn't write further before lunch.
If I would do a correction of this article I would write it like this:
"The algae of the genus Nannochloropsis differ from other related microalgae in cause of having chlorophyll a and exhibit a completely lack of chlorophyll b and chlorophyll c. In addition they are able to build up high concentrations of a range of pigments such as astaxanthin, zeaxanthin and canthaxanthin.[5] They are about 2 to 3 micrometers in diameter and are build very simple with reduced structural elements in ultrastructure which compare to neighbouring taxa."
kind regards --2001:16B8:2837:8000:9D16:DF8A:5F31:EC7F (talk) 11:45, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
Species count discrepancy
editThe introductory paragraph of this article states that there are six known members of this genus. However, a list of recognised species soon follows that lists 7 different species.
This is a discrepancy that needs correcting. Megadyptes antipodes (talk) 11:39, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
