I thought the distribution was inaccurate as it indicated its mainly an Indian Ocean/Bay of Bengal located fish - as the fishbase article confirms its distributed through much of South East Asia and most of tropical/sub-tropical (and even temperate regions a bit) Australia and is a very important fish there. I don't think I did very well in describing the distribution - please do it better if you can! :) djambalawa (talk) 04:45, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

They are migratory along the Queensland coast, southwards to about Fraser Is., and then back northwards. Large females (up to 2m) often stay put around good huntings spots, but all males migrate. I've never caught one in PNG waters, around Madang/Wewak. Only the closely related wahoo schools appear there. They must migrate via Torres Strait. They abound around Fiji, all seasons, where they are called walu.220.240.252.16 (talk) 00:02, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Added a bit more detail and a photo - but I think the article could benefit from someone with better knowledge on the subject and better wikipedia skills/knowledge djambalawa (talk) 02:55, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
