Demoted to stub
editI've demoted the article to a stub, as many more information regarding the subject can be added, like its history. Also, the lists seem outdated, as new National Artists have just been proclaimed recently. -Jjmontalbo 13:44, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've verified the article, and the list is in fact updated. -Jjmontalbo 13:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Fernando Ocampo is not a National Artist. I took him out of the list 125.60.243.27 (talk) 12:06, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
"New Category" named "Visual Arts and Film"
editUntil the issues regarding Carlo Caparas's appointment is resolved with finality, let us just stick to the official categories of National Artists as posted in the NCCA website, the reason being that the NCCA is the definitive authority with regard to matters regarding the NAs. I will revert any attempts to move it back unless there is either an official update from the NCCA or from an official (and clarificatory announcement) coming from the Office of the President or the Supreme Court (and, of course, supported by reliable and WP:verifiable sources. Thanks. --- Tito Pao (talk) 03:39, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Vandalism as of August 2017
editHi. I have added a "requires attention" tag to this page because I am uncertain how to fix the damage that anon vandals have done. Not all the anons have done bad edits, but some have changed information; I am not enough of an expert to be able to tell them apart. - Alternativity (talk) 09:13, 31 August 2017 (UTC)

Removal of Cleanup Template as of 21 July 2019
editHi all. This is just to let everyone know that I've removed the "Disputed" tag that was on the top of the article, having done a cursory check of inaccuracies that may have been introduced since approximately December 2015. The article was tagged "needs attention" in August 2017 in light of "inaccuracies introduced by various anons", and that tag was upgraded to "article disputed" in May 2018. This is understandable, since this article is always the subject of vandalism attempts. However, crosschecking today's version with edits starting 2016 suggest that any introduced inaccuracies have been corrected, and that the article, while it could use additional work, does not contain any inaccuracies introduced by anons after 2016. (I'm sorry, I can't fact-check further than that.) I removed the Template, hoping this edit point can serve as a reasonable "last good edit point" against which any vandalism can be checked in the future. If I missed any inaccuracies, my apologies. Here's hoping we can keep this page clean from here on. - Alternativity (talk) 10:53, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
