editHi. I am opening a thread here to allow for discussion on the apparent desire for some editors to characterise the subject here as "one of the most outstanding high schools in Taiwan nowadays". Or "one of the top schools in Changhua County". Or "one of the most prestigious and distinguished high schools in Middle Taiwan". I have removed several of these claims in recent weeks. As each was problematic under WP:SYNTH, WP:PROMO, WP:PUFFERY and WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV guidelines. If there is an academic report or a news report or a similar (verifiable and reliable) source which can support a claim of the school having the "best results in the county", or "highest number of students placed in university", or a similar OBJECTIVE claim, then please provide them. In short, if adding:
- An objective fact, then present it as such. And provide a reference: "According to ABC report, the school had the highest average exam scores in 2018 [REF1]"
- A subjective opinion, then present it as such. And provide an attribution. "According to XYZ analyst, the school had the highest name recognition in 2017 [REF2]".
Adding unattributed opinions (as if they were an objective fact), and adding unsupported claims (as if they were objectively verifiable) is not appropriate under a half-dozen project guidelines. Please stop doing it. Guliolopez (talk) 13:08, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
