The result of the move request was: Moved to National Council of Slovakia. Consensus on the alternate proposed name – robertsky (talk) 07:50, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
National Council (Slovakia) → National Council of the Slovak Republic – Usually used (after translation) term in Slovakia. This may reduce confusion among readers. 83.168.137.1 (talk) 02:54, 9 February 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Bensci54 (talk) 17:28, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose - too long. estar8806 (talk) ★ 18:00, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Estar8806: I don't think "too long" is an appropriate reason in this context. If that's its name, that its name. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:45, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
- Certainly isn't. We have considerably longer article titles. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:42, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- A very WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS argument, but I digress. If we're going to move this article, then I guess United States Congress better be moved to Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, and Parliament of the United Kingdom aught to be renamed The Right Honourable the Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Parliament assembled.
- I'm not opposed to moving this article, National Council of Slovakia is a reasonable option. I can't find a single reliable source using the proposed name. Most use some form of Slovak/Slovakian/Slovakia's Parliament. [1][2][[3] estar8806 (talk) ★ 16:45, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- "Too long" is a very WP:IDONTLIKEIT argument! But I'm happy with National Council of Slovakia too. -- Necrothesp (talk) 17:02, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- "Too long" is a very WP:CONCISE based argument. But I'm glad we can agree on a different title. estar8806 (talk) ★ 19:55, 22 February 2024 (UTC)

- Comment: Are there sources that establish this as the common name of the council in English? Hey man im josh (talk) 13:49, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
