Contradictions in history

edit

The leading section of this article says there are 5 regions, including Tasmania, but also claims that Tasmania is the 6th region. Can any person with knowledge of the NEM's history clarify the contradiction?

The subsequent para mentions the Snowy region -- was that perhaps one of the original 5?

There were 5 regions. Add Tasmania. As the article says, subtract Snowy, gives 5. It's not contradictory; just not well written.

If you have a reference for that, I will put my hand to reworking that paragraph. Matthew C. Clarke 06:40, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

LOL...more than two years later, here is a reference for you Matthew!

World's Longest Interconnected Power System

Can we clarify this or come up with a citation? Canada's grid, for one, spans 11 000 km [1] Prymal (talk) 04:08, 16 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Generator section

edit

The Generators section is skewed towards Victorian coal-fired generators. To comprehensively list the generation in this section, I think it would be better to move it to its own section, as the generation mix of course changes over time. There is actually already an article here: List of power stations in Australia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamesray1 (talkcontribs) 02:31, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
