Action Fraud causes email account suspension?

edit

I forwarded some scam e-mails to Action Fraud and my e-mail provider labelled me a scammer and suspended my account. This is not the best way to encourage public co-operation in combatting fraud. Biscuittin (talk) 10:24, 22 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate you're upset, but is this confirmable? The actions of one hyper-active email provider may not warrant such a damning comment in the Wikipedia article.OrbiterSpacethingy (talk) 14:37, 12 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
I also sympathise but Wikipedia entries are required to be based on verifiable published sources, not on a single, possibly untypical, incident. I have forwarded dozens of emails to Action Fraud without any problem RichWA (talk) 08:29, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
OK, I removed the section and kept in a little bit about the email forwarding. If the claims can be verified, here's the removed part:
"It is also possible to forward scam e-mails to Action Fraud but this is inadvisable. Action Fraud warns that forwarders may receive "bounce back" messages. What is does not warn is that forwarders may be labelled scammers by their own e-mail providers and may have their e-mail accounts suspended."

Annual Fraud Indicator

edit

The former text of the section in the article fraud had the cost at £38 billion, not £30 billion. Which is correct? James500 (talk) 05:14, 29 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
